Rallies on the club field, with tuition in flatwork, showjumping and gymkhana games.

Weekly jumping and flatwork  tuition for all levels of ability

Monthly dressage competitions with tests from Prelim to Advanced Medium. These are held both on the club field and at Teversal Saddlery, nr Chesterfield.

Annual riding club camp for senior members using the wonderful facilities at  Somerford Park Farm in Cheshire

The opportunity to represent the club at team events and championship shows

HVRC is affiliated to British Riding Clubs and members have the opportunity to attend BRC events and compete in BRC regional and national shows. Visit our British Riding Clubs page for details. In 2005 the HVRC quadrille 'The Clockwork Clowns' came 2nd at Olympia and in 2006 two HVRC teams went to Olympia - The Scarecrows were placed 4th and the Cans Cans came 2nd.

Visiting speakers and specialist instructors. 

Social events.  These have included the annual Christmas party, club dinner dances, barn dance, fashion show, visits to major equestrian events etc.

Charity fund-raising.  In 2005 we held an Auction of Promises which raised funds for Riding For The Disabled.
