Hope Valley Riding Club

Hope Valley Riding Club is a friendly local riding club based in the beautiful Hope Valley in the heart of the Peak National Park in Derbyshire. Our showground is just off the A625 opposite the Marquis Of Granby Hotel in Bamford.

We aim to have fun and cater for all equestrian interests and all levels of ability. Events include:

	Open and members' shows offering a full range of classes, both ridden and in-hand
	Members' fun shows
	Weekly jumping and flatwork tuition for all levels of ability over the summer months
	Dressage and showjumping clinics throughout the year
	Regular dressage competitions with tests from Prelim to Medium. These are held on the club field, at Stubley Hollow Farm near Dronfield and at Teversal Saddlery, near Clay Cross.

	Annual riding club camp for senior members using the wonderful facilities at Somerford Park Farm in Cheshire
	The opportunity to represent the club at team events and championship shows
	HVRC is affiliated to British Riding Clubs and members have the opportunity to attend BRC events and compete in BRC regional and national shows. Visit our British Riding Clubs page for details. In 2005 the HVRC quadrille 'The Clockwork Clowns' came 2nd at Olympia and in 2006 two HVRC teams went to Olympia - The Scarecrows were placed 4th and the Cans Cans came 2nd.
	An annual Trec competition day at Eyam
	Day rides
	Visiting speakers and specialist instructors.
	Social events. There is an annual Christmas party and we have also held club dinner dances, a barn dance, a fashion show, group visits to major equestrian events etc.
	An annual fun dog show
	An annual fundraising jumble sale
	Charity fund-raising. We have held several very successful Auctions of Promises.
