Winter SJ & Dressage Championships

RULES:`
The Competition will be run in accordance with BRC 2021 Handbook Competition

Rules.
Health and Safety + Covid-19 guidelines and notices must be adhered to at all times.

Competitors must wear the correct standard hats, with a harness properly adjusted and fastened. All Hats must be tagged with a 2018 BRC/BE/PC Aqua colour tag.

Hats need to be brought to a BRC Area 16 Steward for checking / tagging before competitors will be allowed to compete only if they do not have an Aqua colour tag as per above.

All horse Flu Vaccs must be current with an annual vaccination.

Any item of jewellery or alternative medical treatment wristbands must be covered up by clothing or gloves, if they cannot be removed, at the riders own risk.
Hair must be neatly secured and must not hang lower than the shoulder line (when standing normally).

Only competitors may work in a horse/pony before a class/phase.
Children aged 16 years and under must not be left unattended in vehicles.
Dogs must remain in vehicle.
No horses to be left unattended tied up outside horseboxes/trailers.
Cars to be parked in allocated area only.
Please pick all litter, muck and hay from around your horsebox in the parking area and take home.

Team Managers – please ensure a SAE (sufficiently large and strong enough, with adequate postage) for any rosettes won in Dressage & SJ qualifiers and competitors’ dressage sheets is left in box provided at Dressage warm-up area.

TEAM MANAGERS – please note:

The competition will comply with the Covid-19 guidelines current at the time of the event. Details of the Covid-19 requirements will be published closer to the competition. Please make your members aware of these requirements.

Volunteers will be required to assist with running of this competition.

Note: Show Jumping teams these are to comprise of 3 or 4 riders as per BRC Competition Rules:

Teams of 4; will comprise of one rider at each height (70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 100cm)

or

one rider at three of the heights, with 4th height being optional e.g. 1 at 70cm, 2 at 80cm,1 at 90cm / 1 at 80cm, 2 at 90cm, 1 at 100cm etc.

Teams of 3:
As above, but at only one of 3 heights each.

A competitor may ride twice in different teams, providing the 2nd height is progressive and after lower height.

Individuals may compete at 2 heights providing the 2nd height is progressive.

Dressage:
Teams:
2 members to ride the Prelim tests (one test each – Novice eligibility applies)
2 members to ride the Novice tests (one test each – Intermediate eligibility applies) Individuals:
May ride once as a team member and once as an individual riding a different test or,
2 separate tests as an individual.
